Phase 3 Upgrades to Eco-Friendly Substrate for Signage

With today being Earth Day, we are proud to announce a big step forward in reducing our impact on the planet. In the coming months, we will be sunsetting the use of traditional styrene replacing it with a more easily recyclable material in our production facilities in Atlanta, Dallas and the New York metropolitan area. In 2020 alone, Phase 3 sold roughly 72,000 lbs of styrene in our production process and while technically recyclable, most styrene ends up in landfills because it is difficult to recycle.

This new substrate will be used just like styrene to create numerous types of indoor and outdoor signage and POP products. It is as easily recycled as a plastic water bottle and can be recycled up to 50 times. Additionally, the product has a longer shelf life, which is both good for the environment and good for your budget. Most importantly, the price of this new substrate is comparable to that of styrene making the switch easy and affordable for our clients.

Phase 3 is ecstatic to be able to take this step towards providing green marketing options for our customers and we look forward to adding new initiatives to our #PhaseGreen solutions we plan to launch this year.
