Hotel Clermont & Tiny Lou's

Overview

Atlanta’s iconic Hotel Clermont, closed in 2009 due to health code violations, was recently renovated, revitalized, and completely reimagined as a 94-room boutique hotel.

 

We were tasked with introducing the property’s new food and beverage concepts—Tiny Lou’s, a full-service French-American brasserie; and Café Clermont, a sultry lobby bar and a fun-filled rooftop lounge. Considering the somewhat salacious and infamous past of the property, our Public Relations team not only had to promote these new concepts, but also help explain their relationship with the historic location with agility, tact, and humor.

We were tasked with introducing the on-site food & beverage concepts through an ambitious media relations strategy—Tiny Lou’s, a full-service French-American brasserie; and the grab-and-go Café Clermont, a sultry lobby bar with rooftop lounge.

Considering the somewhat salacious past of the Clermont Lounge, our public relations team managed the messaging surrounding the hotel and restaurant concepts with agility, tact and a bit of fun.

Solution

Leading up to opening, we developed an impactful messaging strategy highlighting the poignancy of the Atlanta icon’s revitalization, resetting expectations and opening the door to new experiences.

 

We officially welcomed the long-awaited Hotel Clermont and highly anticipated food and beverage outlets to Atlanta in June 2018, generating excitement for the new concepts through a series of media exclusives and grand opening events. The team held a series of pre-opening tours and dinners, giving media intimate an intimate first look into the food and beverage outlets, and leveraged relationships with local food and beverage-focused media to secure exclusive national opening coverage on Playboy.com and Garden & Gun, as well as in local outlets like The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Eater and Creative Loafing.
