Cooking Up a Recipe for Earned Media Success

The debut cookbook from James Beard nominated chef Steven Satterfield, of Atlanta’s Miller Union, was introduced at a time of increased market competition – due to a rise in vegetable-focused books authored by esteemed chefs. With the goal of distinguishing Satterfield as the leading Southeastern chef and vegetable expert, Phase 3 used a comprehensive media campaign, cross-country events and social media engagement to increase awareness and sales. Ultimately, our strategy has produced widespread press coverage in outlets including Epicurious, Self Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Vogue and – garnering 262 million impressions, an estimated value of $852,000.
